Tens of thousands of revelers attended Utah's gay pride celebration over the weekendof June 8-9.
Pride officials said it was bigger than any previous festival. About 150 vendors were at the festival and the Sunday morning parade drew 65 entries.
"Last year we had about 25,000 in attendance, and this year we're expecting to far exceed that," Yana Walton, director of communications for the Utah Pride Center, said. "We had more groups in the parade and 50 more vendors here at the grounds."
Over 2,700 people were on-hand Saturday as booths were set up, several Utah bands played, and Meshelle Ndegeocello entertained that evening.
"That was way more than last year," Walton said.
