It’s not too late to sign up for the Center Golf Classic Tournament. The Center is still looking for eight more golfers to sign up by Wednesday, Aug 20. Registration is $95 per person for 18 holes of golf including cart rental, breakfast and lunch service and a chance to win several fabulous prizes. Team sign ups, whether of individuals or members of an organization or business, are especially encouraged.

Slumber Party
The Southern Utah Pride Association, Inc. will hold a marathon of the popular MTV reality bisexual dating show A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila to benefit the Southern Utah Pride Festival. The slumber party is part of the festival’s Countdown to Dani Campbell, the popular Shot at Love contestant who will serve as this year’s grand marshal.

A Plain Ol’ Night
Charlie’s Las Vegas will host Just a Plain Ol’ Night of Fun and Entertainment, a benefit for the Southern Utah Pride Festival including live entertainment, a raffle, performances by Charlie’s drag queens and a selection of excerpts from the hit Broadway musical Avenue Q performed by members of the Southern Utah Pride Association.

Gays for Obama
A new group has formed for Utah gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Obama supporters and will hold its first meeting in August. In the months leading up to the November presidential election Utah LGBT for Obama plans to register voters, and plan events around supporting Barack Obama’s candidacy. When: Aug 21, 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Goodtimes Bowling
Signups are now open for the Goodtimes Bowling League, a gay-friendly bowling club that regularly meets at Bonwood Bowling in Salt Lake City. The first game is free with league sign-up. Players of all orientations and gender identities are welcome.
