Literary Issue: An Evening Such as This
by Justin Munday
On an evening such as this
How could I have missed
A face so simple sweet?
On an evening such as this
When everything’s amiss
How could I dismiss
A countenance so neat?
When all the light begins to fade
When all the devils come out to play
When whores of foolish girls are made
I will look into your eyes and say
On an evening such as this
How could I have missed
Such beauty that does persist?
So much so
That my heart begins to ahce and twist
When I look at you.
On an evening such as this
Give me your hand, I do insist
That you shall not be able to resist
My eyes
My smile
My passionate kiss.
