Help Change Utah’s Opinions
The Utah Pride Center is asking members of Utah’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community and their allies to help Utahns have “a more positive public perception of our community” in the coming year. Between now and January 2011, the Center has requested that individuals write letters to newspaper editors and op-ed pieces describing their hopes for Utah’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people in the new year. As always, the Center is also encouraging community members of all gender identities and sexual orientations to consider donating money and time to its programs in the coming year. For more information visit utahpridecenter.org.
A Very SAGE Christmas
Services & Advocacy for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Elders (SAGE), the Utah Pride Center’s group for community members age 50 and over, will hold its annual Christmas dinner. There, SAGE members will enjoy delicious food while putting together care baskets for Utahns living with HIV/AIDS. Attendees are asked to bring food donations for these baskets.
When: Dec. 15, 6:30 p.m.
Where: Utah Pride Center, 361 N. 300 West
