Taste of Square Dancing
This introduction to square dancing is hosted by Temple Squares, Utah’s only all-inclusive square dance club. The event is open to singles and couples of all ages and types. Absolutely no prior experience is required. The Temple Square dancers will help show newcomers how simple and enjoyable square dancing can be. Refreshments will be served.

Breaking Through the Gender Illusion
At this public event speaker Candice Metzler will explore and discuss the challenge of understanding gender identity, intersex conditions, LGBT suicide awareness, challenges of LGBT youth and the process of gendering children.

STUCK! – Free film Screening
The Salt Lake Film Society presents a free gay-themed film, as part of their monthly LGBT film series, about a young girl who is wrongly imprisoned. The film is a tongue-in-cheek homage to 1950s women-in-prison films.

Downtown Farmer’s Market Call for Vendors
The 19th annual Downtown Farmers Market and Art & Craft Market are currently seeking applications from vendors for the upcoming season. The 2011 marketplace will be open June 11-Oct. 22, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Historic Pioneer Park. The Harvest market will be open Tuesday evenings 4 p.m.-dusk, Aug. 9-Oct. 25 for growers only. The Markets offer a unique variety of farmers, growers, bakeries, prepared food and beverages, packaged foods and local artisans.
