Apple-loving tech columnist allegedly hit wife with iPhone
The well-known tech columnist David Pogue is famous for his love and adoration of Apple products. His first book, “iPhone: The Missing Manual” was very well received by tech critics and consumers and it covers all different types of topics from setup to use. However, according to police, Pogue used his iPhone for more than just Angry Birds and texting. Pogue jumped on his wife while she was lying on the couch with her cell phone, grabbed it from her hands and began hitting her with it, according to police. Pogue is a columnist for the New York Times.
Husband found hiding under kid’s bed charged with assault
A man sought by Texas police for an alleged assault on his wife was found last week in the couple’s home. Javier Lopez was found hiding under his child’s bed tucked as far back as he could get, according to police. Even after repeatedly asking Lopez to get out from underneath the bed, Lopez refused to move, according to police. Officers the used a Taser on Lopez and pulled him out from under the bed. He was booked into the county jail on assault charges.
Husband, 72, charged with attack on wife
A 72-year-old Texas man is facing assault charges after he attacked his wife during a dispute where she confronted him about a conversation she overheard between him and another woman, police say.
According to police, Joel Loera Alvarado got into an intense argument with his wife after she caught him having a conversation with another woman. He allegedly threw his wife onto the bed and smothered her with a pillow.
