Equality groups band together to raise charity votes

Ten gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexual charities from across the country, including Equality Utah, have created a collaborative effort to win a Chase Community Giving contest hosted on Facebook. Chase is giving $250,000 in the contest. Should one of the ten charities win, they will split the proceeds evenly.

The groups are asking supporters to vote for all of ten of the charities listed on a web page created just for the collaboration.

Participants must have a profile on Facebook, must “like” the Chase Community Giving Contest page, and may vote for up to ten charities.
