The handmade gift and home decorating store, Ten Thousand Villages, 1941 S. 1100 East, Salt Lake City, will be donating a portion of the purchase proceeds, on Dec. 1 from 5-8 p.m., to Equality Utah.
This gives Utah queers and allies the opportunity to not only purchase fair-trade gifts for this holiday season, but also support the work of Equality Utah.
Stop in, browse, shop, have some holiday treats, support fair trade across the globe, and help create a fair and just Utah all in one trip.
Ten Thousand Villages is an exceptional source for unique jewelry, home decor, art and sculpture, textiles, serve-ware and personal accessories representing the diverse cultures of artisans in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. One of the world’s largest fair trade organizations and a founding member of the World Fair Trade Organization, the company strives to improve the livelihood of tens of thousands of disadvantaged artisans in 38 countries.
