Nominate your Person of the Year for 2011

Listen to this article

At the end of each year, QSaltLake puts a Person of the Year on the cover of our issue. This is the person we at QSaltLake believe most affected Utah’s gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender community — for better or worse.

Our past recipients have included:

  • Former Sen. Scott McCoy
  • Larry H. Miller
  • Sen. Chris Buttars
  • Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker
  • LDS Church President Thomas S. Monson
  • Former Salt Lake City Councilwoman Deeda Seed
  • Salt Lake City Councilwoman Jill Remington Love
  • Salt Lake County Councilwoman Jenny Wilson
  • Equality Utah Executive Director Brandie Balken
  • Utah Pride Center Director Valerie Larabee
  • Mark Barr
While we have chosen a person twice for the title, we’d prefer hearing about different people.
