Bomb threat leads to evacuation of queer advocacy offices

An anonymous bomb threat led to the evacuation of two queer rights advocacy groups in Washington, D.C. The Human Rights Campaign and the Human Rights Watch building were both evacuated after a call was made to a California police department claiming an imminent threat to national gay rights groups. The buildings were searched by police and have since been cleared.

The HRC is the nation’s largest queer rights advocacy group and the HWR is dedicated to protecting human rights around the world.
