Dog festival and 5-K9 Fun Run to stop in Park City
To showcase the greatness that’s inside every dog, purebred or rescue, Purina Pro Plan will bring the Bark in the Park Dog Festival & 5-K9 Fun Run to Park City on Saturday, July 21, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event, which attracts animal lovers from the entire Salt Lake City area, will take place at Willow Creek Park between Old Ranch Road and Split Rail Lane. The festival will feature live performance demonstrations, including agility and freestyle flying disc and performance camps featuring agility training from trainer Nadja Palenzuela, as well as free samples of Purina Pro Plan brand dog and cat foods. Local pet lovers can also learn about pet adoption opportunities from Pro Plan Rally to Rescue Ambassador Organizations that will be in attendance with adoptable pets.
“To help your dog be great, you must discover what motivates him and enhance it,” said Nadja Palenzuela member of the Pro Plan Performance Team. “At our Pro Plan Performance agility camps, we will help provide pet owners with the resources needed to get them there because dogs that are active and achieve greatness are healthier, more engaging and ultimately happier.”
Park City is just one of five nationwide stops and the tour is designed to help dogs reach their full potential and help owners receive the training, motivation and knowledge to help their pets.
“All dogs have the potential to be great, but they can’t reach their fullest potential alone,” said Robert Tochterman, senior brand manager of Purina Pro Plan. “That’s why our Pro Plan Performance Team will be traveling to run/walks nationwide to inspire pet owners to work with their dogs to discover their inner greatness and deepen the bond with their pet through physical activity.”
