Transgender Awareness Month activities

November is Transgender Awareness Month and the Utah Pride Center and the Transgender Education Awareness Advocates of Utah have a slew of activities throughout the month. The events are open to the public. For more information, go to utahpridecenter.org.

Paris is Burning is a chronicle of New York’s drag scene in the 1980s, focusing on balls, voguing and the ambitions and dreams of those who gave the era its warmth and vitality.

The Provider Summit is geared toward medical and mental health professionals who are interested in addressing the health and wellness needs within the transgender community.

West Coast launch for Trans Fiction authors

Genderevolution – Gender Apocalypse

The Gender Conference is structured around three tracks: youth, trans and general audience. The youth track presents information and workshops aimed at a younger trans audience and allies. The trans track presents information aimed at trans people of any age. The general audience track presents information aimed at allies, families, partners, employers, health and wellness professionals, etc. Participants are welcome to self-select into whatever workshops they are interested in, regardless of the track. The tracks exist to provide overall guidance and coherence.
