As some one who did vote in favor of Amendment 3 in 2004, I will say that my view on the world has changed considerably in nine years. The world is less black and white. My life has changed considerably since then. I made a major career change. I divorced. I found a new woman that I love deeply. I became a grandfather twice. I fought in a war, for a country and constitution I love deeply and for the civil rights of every American.
I am glad this judge ‘nullified’ my vote. My vote was wrong and I am glad this judge saw the injustice that sixty-six percent of us Utahns did by voting for this flawed Amendment. As a Utahn, American and Veteran I stand proud of our judicial system and the checks and balances that protect every American.
