Utah’s Damn These Heels wins top ten honors
Utah Film Center’s Damn These Heels was named a top ten queer film festival in the nation by The Audience Awards, a web site dedicated to supporting short films and independent filmmakers.
Of Damn These Heels, the site wrote in the story titled “10 Queer Film Festivals You Should Know About”: “This creatively titled film festival showcases independent films, documentaries, and foreign feature-lengths from countries spanning the globe from Israel to Venezuela. Damn These Heels hosts free year-round screenings. The upcoming screening is The New Black, a documentary about how the African-American community is addressing the campaign to legalize gay marriage. It will be held at the Brewvies venue, on August 21.”
Damn These Heels had a successful 2014 earlier this month at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center showing 18 films to hundreds of audience members.
Yay! Congratulations Holly Martak Yocom and Patrick!
