For the third consecutive year, the SAGE Utah Summer Potluck barbecue is just around the corner. The event will take place Saturday August 16 starting at 6:30 p.m. at Fairmont Park, 2361 S. 900 East in the Grove Pavilion (southwest end of park).
The event is open to all ages and will include such activities as bingo by Harriet Winston and Mae Daye from the Matrons of Mayhem and Kirk Birkle of the Utah Bears.
Easiest parking will be to enter the west side parking lot from 900 East. There is additional parking around the entire park. Also, the new Sugar House Streetcar ends at Fairmont Park, for those wishing to travel by TRAX. Transfer from any Trax line to the S-Line at the South Salt Lake City Station, 2100 South.
Admission is free, and SAGE Utah will provide the meat and beverages. They ask for attendees to bring a side dish or dessert. The pavilion has plenty of space, but you may wish to bring a lawn chair or blanket if you would like to spread out on the plentiful lawn under the trees.
SAGE Utah will be accepting optional donations in plastic collection boxes at the event. Your financial help keeps SAGE Utah moving forward in meeting all the needs of LGBT seniors.
