With the theme, “Think Positive, Let’s Rethink HIV,” an event will be held on World AIDS Day, Dec. 1, in Salt Lake City. Sponsored by Mr. Friendly: Team Utah, Salt Lake County Health Department, Gay Men Aloud, Men Who Move, BlackBOOTS, Le Croissant Catering and the Utah Pride Center, the event will be held at the Utah Pride Center as a reminder of those who have been lost to HIV and AIDS and an opportunity to rethink outdated stereotypes, challenge myths, and eliminate stigma around HIV.

Gay Men Aloud will host a remembrance wall and encourage attendees to bring a photo of friends or family lost to AIDS and to write their names in remembrance.

Mr. Friendly: Team Utah will have free buttons and a photo booth.

Hot cider and homemade cookies have been donated by Le Croissant Catering.

The Salt Lake County Health Department will offer free HIV testing and information about PrEP.

This is a free event.
