Logan Pride is this weekend

The first Logan Pride Festival takes place this weekend and features music, food trucks, youth activities, an interfaith service, art, and more. Families with children are welcome as the festival includes an entire area dedicated to youth and child activities including arts and crafts as well as games and prizes. The event is being held in conjunction with the Block Film and Art Festival.

The Logan Pride Festival is planned to be an annual event for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and ally community to come together, regardless of differences, to celebrate diversity.

“It is a celebration of shared values and is a way to entertain and engage not only the LGBTQ community, but our friends, families and allies,” organizers wrote in a press release.

The Logan Pride Festival is a program of the Cache Youth Resource Center. Opened in 2013, the CYRC is open on Friday nights from 3-7pm. At CYRC, youth receive a variety of services and programming in a way that honors, affirms, and celebrates their diversity and identity.
