UAF onsite HIV testing to reopen Nov. 5

The Utah AIDS Foundation will re-open its test site beginning Thursday, November 5th from 5 to 7 p.m.

To keep their clients, staff, and volunteers safe, there are some additional requirements in place:

  • An appointment will be required for testing in an effort to limit how many people are in the building at one time. Appointments can be scheduled at this link.
  • Masks and social distancing are required the entire time you are in the building for testing.
  • If you have experienced any symptoms of COVID in the past 14 days you are asked not to do in-person testing. UAF offers an at-home testing option at utahaids.org/services/athome
  • UAF staff will call you the same night with your HIV test result rather than have you wait onsite for results.

The testing site will be using the OraQuick Antibody HIV oral swab test which does have a 3 month window period.

Safer sex counseling will be made optional and will be performed over the phone.
