
Damn These Heels announces special guest Miss Coco Peru
Damn These Heels by Utah Film Center announced Tuesday that special guest Miss Coco Peru will participate in the LGBTQ film festival’s 20th-anniversary celebration. With 33 years in the business as a working drag queen, Coco offers an evening of inspired storytelling and song followed by a moderated discussion that includes audience engagement.
Miss Coco Peru (aka Clinton Leupp) has been a household name in the LGBTQ+ community for over 30 years. Coco got her start in the early 90s as a downtown favorite in New York City’s cabaret world. Since then, Coco has received worldwide acclaim for her award-winning solo shows and has enjoyed an expansive career in film, television, and digital work.
Television credits include Dead End: Paranormal Park (Netflix), Will and Grace (recurring role), How I Met Your Mother, Arrested Development, and two stand-up comedy specials on LOGO.
They have also been on film in Trick, To Wong Foo… and a major role in the cult classic Girls Will Be Girls.
Online, they have participated in Madame Coco Knows (LOGO), Casa Coco (a monthly streaming show during the COVID lockdown), and her YouTube videos with over 13 million views.
Miss Coco Peru will offer a spoken word performance followed by a moderated Q&A.
