Listen to this articleThe Matrons of Mayhem, which holds Third Friday Bingo at First Baptist Church each month to raise funds for various charities, is soliciting applications for the 2024 year.
Charities must be local, Utah-based, and be recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
To apply, leaders should write a short email describing their organization and what they would do with the funds raised at a bingo event if chosen.
Charities are expected to help promote their month’s event and help provide prizes for winners, if possible.
Send the email to thematronsofmayhem@gmail.com by November 30, 2023, to be considered.
The Matrons receive many more applications than they can handle, so they are entered into a lottery in late December to pick the 11 charities for the following year.
