Bianca Del Rio coming to Salt Lake City

Everyone’s favorite “clown in a gown,” Bianca Del Rio, has returned to the stage with a new comedy show aptly titled “Dead Inside.” This is the seasoned comic’s sixth worldwide stand-up comedy tour. Bianca is entertaining the masses with her iconic lightning-fast wit and razor-sharp tongue. Her show covers politics, pop culture, political correctness, current events, cancel culture, and everyday life through the eyes of someone who’s “dead inside” and finds humor in everything. As with all of her shows, there will be lots of audience interaction. When the “Joan Rivers of the Drag World” has a microphone in her hands, no one is safe.

She will be in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, April 30, at the Delta Performance Hall at Eccles Theater.

While many Republicans are having a field day proposing anti-drag and anti-transgender bills, this year is becoming even harder for the queer community.

“There’s so much to discuss again, with the world as it is,” she said. “You know, it’s been a year. That’s a long time for a drag queen to hide.”

Del Rio emphasizes the importance of humor in navigating challenging times.

“In these trying times, we need to laugh at it. We need to laugh at ourselves,” she remarks. “But we’ve got politicians that are getting kicked out for being a hot mess … There’s so much to cover.”

Discussing the 16th season of Drag Race, Del Rio reflects on her own experience as the winner of season six.

“I’m grateful that the show is still around. I’m grateful that drag is brought into people’s living rooms,” she says. However, she humorously acknowledges the challenges of keeping up with the ever-expanding roster of queens, joking, “Something like DragCon, when endless drag queens say, ‘Hey girl, hey girl,’ and I don’t know who the fuck they are or where they came from.”

Del Rio also shares her excitement about reconnecting with fans during meet-and-greets on tour, emphasizing the humbling experience of their support. “You realize people are there to support you and how lucky you are,” she reflects. “Not to mention they give you the best gifts and the best fucking material.”

With her trademark wit and sharp tongue, Bianca Del Rio promises an unforgettable experience in which no one is truly safe.

The show is presented by Live at the Eccles on Tuesday, April 30, at the Eccles Theater on Main Street in downtown Salt Lake City. ArtTix is the official source for tickets for Live at the Eccles events and can be found at Live-At-The-Eccles.com.
