LGBTQ artists will take a visible place on Salt Lake City’s biggest public concert stage this summer, as the Salt Lake City Arts Council announces the 2026 Twilight Concert Series lineup.
Among the six national touring acts scheduled to perform, indie-pop trio MUNA and singer-songwriter Suki Waterhouse, both of whom have publicly identified as part of the LGBTQ community, bring queer representation to this year’s city-backed series.
Running from July through early October, the Twilight Concert Series will once again activate downtown venues, including the Gallivan Center and Library Square, continuing a format that has helped the long-running program grow into one of the region’s most attended cultural events.
Of the two LGBTQ acts, MUNA arrives with perhaps the highest profile. The openly queer indie-pop trio — Katie Gavin, Naomi McPherson, and Josette Maskin — is known for centering queer relationships and identity in their music. They have spent the past several years building momentum in indie pop, culminating in their widely praised 2022 self-titled album released via Phoebe Bridgers’ Saddest Factory Records.
Known for blending synth-pop hooks with candid, emotionally detailed lyrics, MUNA’s music often explores relationships, identity, and personal evolution, helping the band build a devoted and diverse fanbase. Their August performance at Library Square is expected to be one of the most in-demand shows of the season, as this is their first return to Salt Lake in four years.

Waterhouse, who performs in late July, has also spoken openly about her bisexuality while developing her music career alongside her work in film and fashion. Her sound leans into dreamy, retro-inspired pop, offering a tonal contrast amid a lineup spanning multiple genres. She appeared in last year’s Kilby Block Party and opened for Laufey at the Delta Center last year in October.
The 2025 Twilight lineup reflects the series’ long-standing emphasis on variety. This year’s performers include:

- Freddie Gibbs (July 17)
- Suki Waterhouse (July 27)
- MUNA (Aug. 4)
- Goose (Aug. 29)
- The War on Drugs (Oct. 1)
From the Americana revivalism of Old Crow Medicine Show to the expansive rock soundscapes of The War on Drugs and the improvisational energy of Goose, the series continues to pull from across the musical spectrum. Hip-hop artist Freddie Gibbs rounds out the bill with a more hard-edged performance style.
Now nearing four decades, the Twilight Concert Series is still a mainstay of Salt Lake City’s summer calendar, drawing thousands of attendees to its open-air venues. The use of both the Gallivan Center and Library Square allows the series to accommodate larger crowds while maintaining its focus on accessible, community-centered programming.
Concerts typically begin in the early evening, with doors opening at 5 or 6 p.m., and each show includes supporting acts, frequently highlighting emerging or regional performers.
Season tickets will go on sale at saltlakearts.org on Wednesday, April 8, at 10 a.m. Individual show tickets will go on sale on Friday, April 10, at 10 a.m.
