Davis County Pride returns May 2 with ‘This Is Me’ theme

The 5th Annual Davis County Pride Festival will be bigger, bolder, and more visible than ever, as organizers invite the community to “Join the Circus” under the theme “This Is Me.”

The free festival is set for Saturday, May 2, 2026, from noon to 6 p.m. at Layton Commons Park. Attendance is expected to exceed 6,000 people, with more than 130 vendors, exhibitors, and food trucks filling the park.

Organizers are promoting a message of visibility and resilience.

“We won’t hide in the shadows, and we won’t be erased,” they wrote. “The stage and spotlight are big enough for all of us.”

Now in its fifth year, the festival continues to grow as a centerpiece LGBTQ+ gathering in northern Utah. This year’s programming includes returning crowd favorites such as the “Love Train,” a lively march through the park, and the “Hell Together” Mom Hugs, which offer messages of unconditional love and support. Attendees will also find interactive experiences that encourage self-expression, along with appearances by community partners.

Organizers also introduced new attractions for 2026, leaning into a circus-inspired theme. Additions include acrobatic performances by Cirque du Kairos, busker-style stages, a children’s midway game area, and a pop-up boutique marketplace.

Entertainment will also feature family-friendly drag bingo hosted by the Matrons of Mayhem, with proceeds supporting the festival.

Funding support is being boosted this year through a matching grant from Project Rainbow, which will double community donations up to $3,000. Organizers say the funding helps keep the event free and accessible to the public.

The festival is also expanding opportunities for small businesses. In partnership with the Utah LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, a new Emerging Entrepreneur Scholarship will help first-time vendors and small businesses offset booth costs and gain exposure. Email contact@daviscountypride.org to apply.

Organizers say volunteers are crucial to the event’s success, with more than 70 individuals needed to help with setup, operations, and cleanup. Past vendor feedback has consistently praised the festival’s volunteer corps for being welcoming, visible, and highly supportive.

“The tent is big enough for all,” they wrote. “This is me.”
